Education today is considered as fruitful investment for the eradication of poverty, fostering economics progress, managing the growth of population and creating a clean and health environment. The success of a education system depends entirely on the quality of its teacher. With the liberalisations and globalisation of Indian economy, the rapid changes in scientific and technological world, the general need to improve the quality of life and to reduce poverty, it is essential that school students must acquire a higher level of knowledge and skill. Thus, keeping in view the above consideration the duty of a teacher has become more challenging. In the modern perspective, teacher must be well trained, skilled, equipped with modern instructional technologies, competent, contented and moreover an inspiring personality, so that he could shape the personality of students according to the need of individual as well as society.
